Washburn combines substance-specific treatment with evidence-based therapies to create a well-rounded program.
About Washburn House
The Washburn House, a historic residence built in 1896 and formerly owned by Ichabod Washburn, is now home to both men and women undergoing treatment for drug or alcohol addiction. Their goal is to help clients fully recover from addiction and the effects of co-occurring mental health conditions by providing individualized care and evidence-based treatment. Offering gender- and substance-specific treatment programs helps Washburn achieve its goal. They also offer a range of programs, such as intensive outpatient (IOP), residential care, and partial hospitalization (PHP). In addition, Washburn offers gender-specific sober living homes for those in need of a safe and comfortable place to stay while in treatment. Staffed by a team of experts, Washburn creates individualized treatment plans that are unique to the individual. Clients will have the opportunity to engage in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), music therapy, art therapy, motivational interviewing (MI), family counseling, yoga, and more. Experiential classes are hosted on-site that include cooking classes, art and writing, budgeting, and more.
Washburn House is part of the Promises Behavioral Health family and has numerous locations throughout the U.S. The comfortable campus creates a calming atmosphere conducive for recovery. They are accredited by the Joint Commission and accept most private insurance.
