Walden Behavioral Care is a specialized eating disorder treatment program that accepts adults of all genders and levels of care. Since opening in 2003, they have helped over 22,000 individuals and their families progress in their healing journeys. Walden's inclusive program comes equipped with experienced staff members who take into account the individual's unique circumstances by providing tailored, evidenced-based treatment plans. Walden has many customized programs including specialty virtual tracks for the LGBTQIA+ community, competitive athletes, clients with binge eating disorders, and the Jewish community with a B'SHALOM program. Each program focuses on the direct need of each person and their family.

Intimate 5 Bedroom Home

Walden’s residential program is located in Dunwoody, Georgia in a cozy-home that offers structure and 24-hour round-the-clock care. The beautiful cape style home has 5 adult beds, offering a more private feel and ensuring a 1-on-1 treatment focus. During treatment, clients will be encouraged to cook and prepare their own meals while receiving help from compassionate staff members, mental health counselors, nurses, nutritionists, and/or psychologists. The program is meant to simulate real-life experiences and clients will have the opportunity to engage in “real-life” outings like grocery shopping and dining out.

Accepts Insurance

As a Monte Nido Affiliate, Walden Behavioral Care has numerous facilities throughout Georgia, Massachusetts, and Connecticut. Dunwoody is home to their Georgia residential facility, but they also offer intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) and virtual outpatient aftercare in most locations. Notably, Walden Behavioral Care accepts most private insurance and works with out of network insurance as well.
