My life is defined by the word never. I was never supposed to be an alcoholic, but here I am. It started with one glass of wine every night and became 2 bottles a day. I lost my sons and my husbands love. The reason why I chose Poseidon was simple. I needed to start, yet, another try at sobriety. I came here and paid out of my own pocket which shows how incredible and amazing this place really is. There is no rehab in the world that compares to this. I felt wanted and important. I just wanted to thank every single person for making me feel that way. I wasn’t just a patient; I was a real person. No matter what it takes, you must come here for rehab to start the long journey back into a life of dignity and love.

I am so grateful for finding Poseidon. I called and spoke to several facilities in Europe before choosing them. If you truly want to get help and begin building the life you deserve, this is the place to go. Whereas other centers focused on closing a deal with me and weren’t very personable, Mr. Odysseus seemed to really care about my wellbeing from the get-go. This feeling that they actually care about helping me was solidified by every single member of their staff to the point where I bonded with all of them and was sad to leave...While having staff that actually cares is crucial and rare among treatment centers, their process really sets them apart for building the right foundation/mindset to truly change. Their process helps residents heal our Mind, Body, and Soul. I learned that if any of those 3 aren't doing well, the other 2 are affected, which leads to relapse or general unhappiness in life. This is why just a short detox almost never works. Any center can help with medical detox and that first step helps our Body. For the "Mind" aspect, good therapists are hard to find and Socrates was an absolute pleasure to work with. The disease of addiction is a product of our minds and being a boutique facility, their custom tailored psychological treatment guarantees they can do what's best for you instead of the "cookie cutter" approach at larger facilities. Lastly, the "Soul" aspect here is something I didn't expect to find, but probably helped the most. The staff and contracted visitors/counselors helped me learn how to love and respect myself again, which in turn helped me rebuild relationships with all of my family/friends lost during my addiction. It took an open mind and seemed weird/scary at first, but whatever they did worked! I don't feel like my recovery would be nearly as successful as it has been so far if it wasn't for their methods and staff there.All in all, if you can be honest with yourself, this program will work !
