Private Family Run

The Better Life Place is a family run, private facility set in a quiet rice field in Udon Thani, Thailand. In an effort to strengthen therapeutic relationships with their clients, The Better Life Place offers online counseling, in-person counseling and a residential counseling retreat. The residential retreat is intimate and personalized, housing up to 6 guests at a time in cozy bungalows overlooking an on-site lake. The Better Life approaches treatment by placing the utmost importance on individualized care with tailor-made plans unique to the individual.

One-On-One Counselling

Raymond Guddah is the well-established residential therapist on-site. Raymond has received training in the areas of sex addiction, recovery coaching, and the introduction of Schema Therapy. He is a licensed psychodynamic and addiction therapist with a background in cognitive behavioral therapy with over 10 years of experience. With a personalized approach, Raymound addresses addiction, mental health concerns, process addiction, and relationship conflict with a blend of evidence-based therapies and holistic services. The retreat programme offers daily counseling sessions, acupuncture, yoga, meditation, mindfulness, healthy nutritious meals, and personal fitness training.

Personalized Amenities and Activities

The Better Life Place has 4 cozy, air conditioned villas with private accommodations, comfortable bed furnishings, internet access, and a TV. On-site, clients can enjoy a swimming pool, fishpond, and an outdoor gym. Better Life takes individual privacy seriously and can offer exclusive use of these facilities where you would be the only client on site. In addition to the amenities, clients will have access to private transportation, a personal chef and fitness trainer. A variety of activities are included in the counselling retreat such as temple visits, private fishing trips, bike riding in the countryside, museum visits and tourists’ attractions in the main cities.
