About Smoky Mountain Lodge
Nestled just outside of Smoky Mountain National Park, Smoky Mountain Lodge provides treatments for adults who suffer from cognitive, mental, and social disorders like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, personality disorders, Asperger’s Syndrome, and autism spectrum disorders. Smoky Mountain Lodge utilizes the Social Integration Model which helps clients thrive in their daily living activities. Clients are treated using CBT and DBT therapy, along with family dynamics, life skills, and specialized groups for specific disorders such as OCD, Asperger’s, and chemical dependency. Equine and animal-assisted therapies are also offered, as well as art therapy, adventure therapy, and career counseling.
The Smoky Mountain Lodge facility is gorgeous. The 29-bedroom estate comes complete with a stone fireplace, beautiful hardwood floors, and Italian-designed bathrooms. Dining is a family affair, and meals are served by kitchen staff in a beautiful dining hall with a banquet table. Meals are treated as a form of group therapy with staff and guests eating together while working on social and communication skills. Clients can enjoy hiking trails, the riding stable, and the company of adorable goats used in animal-assisted therapy. Smoky Mountain Lodge provides cultural and recreational trips to go shopping, see movies, rock climb, and visit museums, all of which are supervised. Smoky Mountain Lodge provides an ideal location and recovery program, complete with a caring staff. The Smoky Mountain Lodge is accredited by the Joint Commission and accepts most private insurance.
