About The Prairie Recovery
The Prairie Recovery centers offer a serene setting located on 46 acres of lush green fields in Round Top, Texas. An 1800s farmhouse serves as the expansive healing space, which includes comfortable residential cabins with panoramic views. The Prairie Recovery’s founders understand first-hand the effects of addiction and co-occurring mental health conditions. They use a boots-on-the-ground approach to treating addiction and are very involved in the recovery process. The Prairie Recovery Center is composed of master’s and doctoral level clinicians, psychiatrists and medical doctors, nurses, and a functional medicine nurse practitioner specialized in treating co-occurring disorders and addiction. The Prairie Recovery is unique in that each client plays an active role in determining the path for their recovery, starting with choosing a recovery program that best fits their needs: the 12-Step Program, SMART Recovery, or Refuge Recovery. Nutrition is an important part of recovery at The Prairie, and Chef Lance Fegen incorporates mindfulness, herbalism, buddhist, Ayurvedic, and many other practices into his cooking, embracing the restorative power of food.
Prairie Recovery center is located 90 minutes from Houston and San Antonio. The extensive property allows for the peace and tranquility needed for long-term recovery. Clients will enjoy the bright, farmhouse design of each cabin. Enjoy a stroll along the beautiful grounds or sit and relax on the wrap around porch, while gazing at the wildlife, and natural beauty that the Prairie Recovery Center has to offer.
