About Phoenix House Austin
Since 1995, The Phoenix House in Austin has had a simple yet focused mission. They are passionate about healing individuals, families, and communities challenged by substance use disorders and related mental health conditions. Phoenix House Austin provides drug and alcohol prevention education, residential addiction treatment, and outpatient counseling for teens ages 13-18. The outpatient services are co-ed and can be in-person or virtual, while the residential treatment serves teen boys only ages 13-18. Residential treatment is situated in the Bouldin Creek neighborhood in Austin, Texas. The 30 day program is strengths-based, person-centered, and uses a holistic approach. Residents will participate in 12-Step work for addiction and both cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and trauma-informed therapy to address the underlying co-occurring issues that may be present. Case management is available along with medical, mental, and psychiatric evaluation and treatment.
The facility is modern and comfortable. Bedrooms are shared with up to 3 other boys, and plenty of storage space is provided. On site, participants can enjoy spacious common areas, a fitness area, and a music room where music is taught by a professional musician.
