Oasis Recovery Centre

Oasis Recovery Centre was founded in 2005 in the heart of South Africa’s Garden Route. They are a residential treatment center that focuses on identifying the root cause for addiction and treating the whole person. Their mission is to rebuild lives through hope, compassion, and a dedication to excellence. Oasis is a family-owned center. They are evidence-based combined with a multidisciplinary approach. They have adventure therapy such as canoeing, stand up paddling, art, elephant walks, wildlife tours, horseback riding, surfing, mountain biking, whale trips, yoga, and golf. Oasis boasts a 4:1 client to therapist ratio to give the clients the most attention they can. The evidence-based therapies that are used are schema therapy, individual and group therapy, psycho-dynamic therapy, motivational interviewing, trauma focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), emotion focused therapy, and interpersonal therapy. The supportive therapies that are provided are a 12-step program, volunteer program, and engaging with nature. The creative therapies used are play therapy, art therapy, drama therapy, and yoga therapy. Clients must be 18 years of age and older. A typical stay is 30 days and can cost around $7,000.

Oasis Recovery Center is perfectly located in an ideal location with serene mountains, lush forest, breathtaking beaches, lakes and lagoons, and mild weather year-round. Oasis has 9 rooms available with 19 beds, and some are private while others are semi-private. They do offer gender-specific housing, however clients are put on a waiting list. Each bedroom has a smart TV with Netflix and Wifi. They have comfortable lounge communal areas that encourage community and have numerous board games. Oasis has a pool, tennis court, and a large library. Meals are healthy and catered from the local restaurant.
