They offer medical detox, partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), outpatient services, recovery coaching, and a sober living home. Northern Illinois Recovery typically is a 90-day structured program, but they also offer flexibility with programming and the length of stay. NIR has a low staff to client ratio and offers intimate gender-specific groups for clients to engage in. Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), medication management, and experiential therapy are just a few of the many modalities the therapists use. Northern Illinois Recovery’s approach is holistic, treating the whole mind, body, and spirit. True to their holistic approach, clients can also engage in meditation and mindfulness, yoga, and massage therapy.
The Northern Illinois Recovery outpatient programs are flexible and specifically tailored to meet the unique needs of the individual. Having a team of compassionate professionals allows clients to enjoy some freedoms in early recovery while still feeling supported. Clients who choose sober living treatment will be provided with gender-specific housing outside of Chicago, Illinois.
