Newport Academy, Virgina

Newport Academy Virginia is a residential healing center for adolescent girls, ages 12-17, struggling with mental health issues, eating disorders, trauma, and substance abuse. Newport Academy strives to empower teens and restore families. They provide a comprehensive approach that blends evidence-based and holistic therapies. Therapy is broken down into 4 categories: clinical, experiential, spiritual, and academic. A robust range of therapies are offered such as body image group, gender-specific therapy, 12-Step, Bowen’s family system theory, equine therapy, music and art therapy, horticulture, culinary arts, and yoga. The program has a fully transferable high school curriculum that is available during and following rehab. Newport Academy provides individual tutoring, educational testing, and academic planning.
