Mountainside Treatment Center

The Mountainside Treatment Center has been offering care to those with co-occurring mental health illnesses and substance use disorders for more than 20 years. After treatment, their goal is to assist clients in rediscovering their actual selves and leading healthier, happier lives. Medical detoxification, inpatient care, outpatient treatment, adolescent services, sober living, and Telehealth services for more flexibility are all offered by Mountainside Treatment. Evidence-based and holistic therapies are offered throughout the entire continuum of care. Each client is unique, and Mountainside provides a robust range of therapy options with a qualified staff to find which therapies work best for the individual. Treatment can include individual and group counseling, 12-Step facilitation, anger management, acupuncture, adventure therapy, expressive therapy, healthy living workshops, therapeutic art and writing, Qigong, and yoga. Mountainside believes the greatest asset for long-term recovery is a strong support system. They work closely with the clients family and create support services to help loved ones understand addiction and the recovery process.

The Mountainside campus is nestled in the foothills of the Berkshire mountain range in Canaan, Connecticut. The facility spans over 80 acres and is bordering 3,000 acres of state preserve. Each room has gorgeous windows with natural light and mid-century modern furnishings. Every room is carefully designed with the clients tranquility and healing in mind. Far from the hustle and bustle of the city, clients can enjoy nature's natural beauty. The campus provides serene walking trails, calming streams, waterfalls, and a meditation garden. Clients can enjoy amenities such as an on-site fitness center, meditation room, volleyball court, and basketball court. Healthy meals are prepared by an on-site chef. Mountainside Treatment Center is accredited by the Joint Commission and accepts most private insurance.
