About Midwest Recovery Centers
Midwest Recovery Centers' mission as an extended care facility is to deliver high-quality addiction treatment in a structured setting. Located in Kansas City, Missouri, Midwest Recovery provides 12-Step intensive outpatient services (IOP) in transitional, sober living homes. On-site medical detox is available before entering the transitional program. During treatment, men and women are housed separately while attending their 90 day outpatient program. Being in a supportive environment with others who have previously gone through treatment is a key component in Midwest’s treatment approach. Their approach also includes both individual and group therapy. Patients are urged to participate in community events and incorporate their everyday activities into their clinical work.
Midwest Recovery Centers' area of focus includes drug and alcohol treatment, life skills, nutritional wellness, grief recovery, depression and anxiety treatment, family counseling, and financially/self-sufficient lifestyle education. Their weekly schedule includes morning breakfast, followed by group therapy, lunch, and individual counseling. Transportation to and from the gym, yoga, and community services projects are included.
Midwest Recovery Centers has 2 fully furnished homes. Their women's-only home has an onsite pool and shared accommodations. Their men’s house has comfortable, modest furnishings, and rooms are shared with one other roommate.
Midwest Recovery Center aims to make treatment accessible for all by partnering with many private insurance companies.
