McCallum Place

McCallum Place is an eating disorder treatment center for adults, adolescents, and athletes ages 10 and up. McCallum Place provides a full continuum of care including residential treatment, partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), and transitional living throughout St Louis and Kansas City. McCallum combines medical and psychiatric management with individualized psychotherapy on-site, making it an excellent alternative to a traditional hospital setting. The McCallum programs help clients restore energy, exercise, balance, flexibility, and trust using evidence-based treatments such as traditional talk therapy, eye movement therapy (EMDR), motivational interviewing (MI), and more. Through compassionate therapy, McCallum's hope is that clients learn to face fears, develop life skills, and have confidence in relationships, all while healing from any past trauma or other co-occurring conditions. In addition to therapy, McCallum provides personalized nutrition and support that is seamlessly integrated into the treatment plan along with family-based therapy. “Family based treatment (FBT) helps parents and other siblings to understand the complex nature of eating disorders.”
