About Kembali Recovery Center
Kembali Recovery Center offers a world-class inpatient recovery experience in the heart of Bali, Indonesia. Kembali’s 28-day program expands on the Bio-Psycho-Social-Spiritual model, but also recognizes the value in providing a tailored approach to suit different needs. Kembali prioritizes balancing scientific and holistic treatment modalities, which their programs reflect well. They’re located in a tropical, serene environment, with foliage and rice fields stretching out around their luxury villas.
Fully-Informed Continuum of Care
Kembali Recovery Center was founded by a mother-and-son duo, with the goal of providing an approach to treatment that differed from the rest. One of the ways they accomplish this is by having small treatment groups, with 4 being their maximum occupancy. This ensures a true sense of community and fellowship at Kembali, between peers and treatment providers. Kembali believes their small groups create the perfect environment for building connections, trust, and a full set of skills to take home after treatment. Aftercare is just as important, and they provide clients with all the necessary information to join a support group near them. Clients will also maintain phone contact with Kembali’s staff, and learn more about relapse prevention.
Special Treatment Approaches And Compassionate Staff
Kembali’s staff have worked through addiction and recovery themselves, which allows them to operate in all areas of treatment with compassion and empathy. This flows from the top down, as Kembali’s founders provide an example of sober success and healing–for their staff and clients. Kembali Recovery Center builds upon the philosophy of Johan Hari, which states “The opposite of addiction is connection.” Kembali teaches, or reteaches, clients how to make those connections with both themselves and others, enabling a full restoration of self. Since they hold personal and interpersonal connections at such high importance, clients’ first week of treatment has an intensive 2-day connections workshop. This workshop helps identify and break down any barriers that may hamper Kembali’s treatment process, and also allows for immediate and deep group bonding.

I loved everything about the experience attending the Kembali recovery program. The faculty are extraordinary, they take great care of the clients and are deeply invested in our growth and recovery. They have made a conscious choice to limit the number of clients they take in order to ensure each one is given utmost attention and care. I couldn’t speak more highly of any of them. The curriculum is extremely well curated and has had a tremendous impact on how I look at my life in recovery. The property is beautiful, and the program is packed with fulfilling activities and fun along with the coursework. The food is also awesome, both healthy and tasteful. While deep diving into one’s issues is often challenging, I can truly say the month I spent at Kembali was enjoyable. I consider the course one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life.

From the beginning, the owners and staff made me feel welcoming and safe. The rooms are comfortable and relaxing. Each guest has their own room with a private bathroom. The room had air conditioning which was a savior for me at times. The program began with connections. A model that connects you with others like never before. Strips away the walls of indifference and allowed me to become raw with my soul. Once I was there I was able to confront the demons and rebuild from within. Kembali has built an approach that tapped into my deepest memories and set me on a journey to self reconciliation. I am so much better of a man because of the people and the program at Kembali. It was the best gift I have ever given to myself. Thank you Debbie and Clayton for my life back.

In November 2021, I entered Kembali Recovery Center for a 30-day stay. I was optimistic about what might be achieved there, because I knew the program was holistic, thorough, and innovative. I also knew it was fairly intense, which for me was good – having decided to commit to the process, I wanted to be using my time profitably.Some eighteen months before Kembali, I had been to a different recovery center. Although I left the place with an overall positive impression, Kembali was to demonstrate to me that, as recovery centers go, it is in a class of its own.My first impressions of the owners and directors, Clayton and Debbie, were excellent. And the physical environment – the location, the setting and the facility itself, are idyllic. As bizarre as this may sound, I can honestly say that my time at Kembali must rank as one of the happiest months of my life. From the outset, I felt that I was being genuinely listened to, heard and acknowledged. I could sense, on a daily basis, that the team were completely dedicated to getting an accurate picture of my past, my struggle, and who I am as a person, the better to help me as a unique individual. To be so much the center of attention was almost embarrassing – but hugely helpful.Since the Kembali buildings are also home to the owners, (and their dogs), I can say that for a short time I felt a part of an insightful, caring, and loving family. And though of necessity it wasn't solely a smooth and pleasant ride, towards the end, I couldn't help not being in a hurry to leave this haven and temporary home, or wonder what my life would have looked like had I found Kembali sooner.... I am confident that anyone who walks through the doors of Kembali with an open mind and a genuine desire to be well, and live a full life, cannot but leave transformed.
