Hazelden Betty Ford Newberg, established in 1990, is situated on 23 acres of tranquil farmland just outside of Portland in the community of Newberg. For people battling alcohol and drug addiction, this campus-style setting fosters a respectful and peaceful environment. Clients can find gender-specific drug and alcohol rehab programs as well as a tailored treatment plan at Newberg, also known as Springbrook. Newberg combines evidence-based therapies with 12-step traditions and fellowship. Newberg treats co-occurring mental health conditions related to depression, anxiety, or trauma. This campus includes in-house detox, inpatient, and outpatient rehab options. They have animal-assisted programs, post treatment groups, and recovery support and family education. Therapies used at Newbern include life coaching, cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), family and marital therapy, motivational interviewing, and trauma focused. In addition to the normal treatment programs, Newberg specializes in addiction treatment for professionals and opioid addiction treatment. Newberg is accredited by the Joint Commission. They accept most major insurances, however they do not accept Medicare and Medicaid.
Newberg is a gender-specific campus style rehabilitation center. Morning meditations, lectures, and group meetings are held in Newberg. To promote fellowship, three meals are served throughout the day at set intervals. The majority of individuals use Newberg's full-size gym in the evenings. Newberg has a 12-Step walking path out on the grounds that it can be used as a meditative path or can be used as an exercise and running path.
