Family First specializes in treating the most common and complex mental health issues that teen boys face using a client-centric, trauma-informed approach.
About Family First Adolescent Services
Family First Adolescent Services specializes in treating the most common and complex mental health issues that teen boys face by offering intensive outpatient (IOP) and partial hospitalization programs (PHP). Since opening their doors in 2014, the goal of Family First Adolescent Services is to provide high-quality, trauma-informed treatment to teen boys struggling with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, addiction, gaming, and more. Family First is the only center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida that specializes in complex and developmental trauma. The unique program uses the NARM approach which enables developmental healing and helps establish a healthy connection between body and mind. The goal of NARM at Family First is to improve the client's emotional self regulation and strengthen personal connections.
Family First pioneered the 5-in-7 methodology where clients receive 5 one-on-one therapy sessions within the first 7 days of their treatment. This intense immersion into the program allows therapists to develop a bond with clients early on. Treatment isn't limited to therapists, offices, and group rooms. Family First encourages clients to explore art, sports, and nature using experiential therapy like animal-assisted therapy, equine therapy, deep-sea fishing, indoor skydiving, kayaking, yoga, and more. “Family First Adolescent Services invites families to put in the necessary work on themselves to establish or reestablish a deep and stable connection with their loved ones. This will create a healthier mode of family interaction that is grounded in boundaries and trust. Working simultaneously to heal past wounds paves the way for a brighter future.” During weekly family therapy calls, parents will receive assignments that are catered to the unique needs of the teen. Family First also collaborates with the teens' schools to ensure academic success while engaged in the program.
Family First Adolescent Services offers a truly unique and well-rounded program for teen boys struggling with mental health conditions in sunny Florida.
