Clients can detox at a social detox center before moving on to residential treatment, a partial hospitalization program (PHP), an intensive outpatient program (IOP), an outpatient program (OP), or sober living. Clients can stay in treatment with the same familiar clinical team they have come to trust, which helps to reduce relapse. The normal length of a residential program is 30 days, however clients might choose to stay longer. Clients will be able to participate in meaningful talk therapies, one-on-one counseling, family counseling, recreational therapy, meditation and mindfulness, yoga, and breath work throughout this time. Recreational therapy is at the core of Brighton Recovery, and the gorgeous mountain setting of Utah makes it an ideal location. A licensed and certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (TRS) guides the client through a prescribed intervention in order to help the individual gain the most insight and find the healing elements of the intervention.
