Bridges to Recovery features two spacious 6-bedroom residences in Los Angeles that specialize in treating mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma disorders, personality disorders, psychotic disorders, and co-occurring disorders. Their concept is that "the greatest method to assist patients recover from psychological discomfort is to use an intense, integrative, and holistic therapeutic program."
Bridges to Recovery has been devoting their attention to just 12 clients at a time since 2002, providing everyone with their own doctor and a minimum of 5 individual psychotherapy sessions per week. They also offer cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), eye movement desensitization reprocessing (EMDR), family therapy, and somatic experience therapy, among others (SE). Yoga, meditation, physical fitness, and acupuncture are some of the holistic therapies they provide.
Breakfast, personal reflection, and some form of individual therapy are all part of a regular day at Bridges to Recovery. Clients then participate in a variety of group therapies following lunch, ranging from conflict resolution to relationship dynamics. After dinner, the day concludes with a variety of holistic therapies such as massage or art therapy. Weekends are jam-packed with activities like hiking and movie evenings. Bridges to Recovery is Joint Commission recognized and accepts a variety of private insurance plans.
