Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation’s Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage is known for a reputable program and large alumni support network. In 1982, former First Lady Betty Ford, a person in recovery herself, brought her passion for advocating for addiction treatment to life when she founded the Betty Ford Center. Their 20-acre campus near Palm Springs, California, boasts a stunning facility with views of the mountains, a lake, a pool, and a fitness center.
The Betty Ford Center Rancho Mirage also offers a variety of programs including inpatient, outpatient, a professionals program, a sober living program, and even an animal-assisted living program. The program combines 12-Step facilitation with evidence-based therapies, employs a multidisciplinary team (with psychiatrists and physicians on-site), and also has spiritual care and holistic activities to promote health and wellbeing.
