About BALANCE Eating Disorder Treatment Center
Located in the heart of New York City, Balance Eating Disorder Treatment offers individualized care for a spectrum of eating disorders including anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, compulsive overeating, and other disordered eating behaviors and body image issues. Balanced has 4 distinct levels of care including a day program, weeknight program, step-down groups, and individual nutrition services. Programs are welcome to all genders 16 years and older and are held in a warm, welcoming space. The Balance day program is a full-time program Monday thru Friday. The Balance weeknight program offers a highly customized, structured setting meeting 3 times a week. The Saturday programs offer unique weekend support for both adults (morning session) and adolescents (afternoon session). Treatment includes individual and group therapy rooted in evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT). Group therapy is kept small with only 6 other clients, ensuring individual attention and support. In addition to in-person outpatient, Balance also has a virtual treatment program that is convenient and customizable. Virtual treatment includes small group sizes and daily catered meals that support health and wellness. Lunch is delivered to the client's door while cooking classes and grocery shopping exercises are done online.
