Azure Acres

For over 60 years, Azure Acres Recovery Center has been a treatment center for adult men and women with substance abuse disorder. The services they offer include detox, a partial hospitalization program (PHP), a residential program, and intensive outpatient program (IOP). The treatments used in their program include approaches like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), client-centered therapy, and 12-Step facilitation. Azure also offers 1-on-1 therapy, family therapy, and experiential therapies like qigong, role playing, and expressive arts. They also have group work every week that specializes in topics like forgiveness, honesty, anger, denial, anxiety, codependence, acceptance, and 12-Step education. Azure Acres additionally has a Conscious Recovery Program that is 12 weeks and addresses the underlying causes of addiction through the use of spiritual practices designed to promote long-term freedom.

Nestled in the California redwoods, Azure Acres Recovery Center is housed in a lodge built in 1906 that was originally a vacation home. The home resides on 30 acres just north of San Francisco. Azure Acre’s lodge has a rustic feel, outdoor pool, and shared bedrooms. Their mission is to integrate respect, integrity, accountability, and excellence into their programs. Azure Acres provides a lifetime aftercare program, too. They are CARF accredited and accept many forms of private insurance.
