About Awakenings by the Sea
Awakenings by the Sea is a women’s inpatient and outpatient treatment facility that specializes in substance use disorder and co-occurring mental health conditions. Their seaside cottages are located in the tranquil setting of Seaside, Oregon. The home-like atmosphere is a warm and intimate setting that provides a safe environment for healing and growth. The program is exclusively designed by women and rooted in evidence-based treatment modalities and 12-Step philosophy. Their comprehensive, 4-phased treatment approach provides a structured schedule that accommodates therapy groups, educational groups, individual counseling, treatment planning and individual work assignments. During each phase of treatment, clients will have the opportunity to engage in dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), eye movement therapy (EMDR), relapse prevention counseling, family counseling, healthy relationships, life skills, and more. Awakenings by the Sea, also offers yoga by a trained yoga instructor, so clients can experience the benefits of yoga including improved health and stress release.
Awakenings by the Sea's home, affectionately called “the little yellow house,” has 18 beds. All sleeping quarters are shared with floral bedspreads, wrought-iron bed frames, and soft lighting. The location offers stunning scenery, and the Lewis and Clark Trail, known for its beautiful hiking, is close by. Awakenings by the Sea provides a compassionate staff and the serenity needed for long-term recovery.
