Only then can the addiction be understood and, ultimately, treated.
While immersed in the program, clients will engage in 1-on-1 counseling using cognitive behavioral methods as well as group therapy, mindfulness training, trauma-specific therapy, and the Minnesota Model when needed. In addition to therapy, Anker Huis and its prime location offers some of the most unique activity outings for their clients. Weekly outings and activities can include the Cheetah Outreach program, Table Mountain Cable Car, sandboarding, stand up paddle boarding, Robben Island visits, and more.
The Anker Huis location in Constantia is known for its natural beauty and nearby world renowned beaches. The magnificent surroundings and world-class accommodations are truly awe inspiring. The luxury estate grounds enable clients to fully embrace the recovery lifestyle in a relaxed, natural environment. Lush greenery and thoughtfully designed gardens adorn the estate along with a swimming pool, perfect for exercise or soaking in the sun. Mens and women's accommodations are located in separate buildings on the property, and clients will enjoy private or semi-private bedrooms. Georgian design is seen throughout the home with bespoke furniture and up-scale decor. The home comes equipped with spacious, comfortable lounge areas, perfect for relaxing in, and a billiards room for when clients wish to socialize. Gourmet meals are prepared by in-house chefs, and they can accommodate most all dietary restrictions one may have.

My experience, I started my treatment at Anker huis after an intervention from my family and friends. I was shocked en within 24 hours i arrived in South-Africa. The staff from Anker Huis collected met from the airport, they were very nice and kind. They were the first support that i met. Then i started treatment, it was intens but amazing don’t regret it att all! The counselors and other staff are all specialist and provided the best care i could wish of. I am clean now and happy again. They helped me out of my depression and got rid off all drugs. The house itself is beautifull its cosy and doesnt feel like a clinic. The food was delicious. But most off all everything that they do, is always for you. To give the best treatment they can!I want to thank them all! M.

I liked the most the one on one sessions and group sessions, also the outing during weekend was nice. The least was the ongoing rebuilding of for example the roof
