Alta Mira Recovery

Alta Mira Recovery opened its doors in 2010 in an elegantly renovated historic hotel just minutes from the Golden Gate Bridge in Sausalito, California. Alta Mira is a residential rehabilitation center that offers medical detox, a family program, a 90-day comprehensive program, a 30-day core program, and continuing care. During the stay, clients receive a full spectrum approach to addiction rehabilitation. The highly trained staff address neurobiological, psychological, social, physical and spiritual aspects of addiction. Alta Mira uses cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), experiential therapy, and trauma-focused therapies. During a client's core program, they recieve 3 individual therapy sessions each week accompanied by daily group sessions. A 4-day family program is also incorporated, along with educational classes and holistic services focusing on the body and mind. Alta Mira allows their clients to bring a pet, however they must reserve a private room. Continuing Care and aftercare planning are included in the 30-day core program. Alta Mira Recovery is Joint Commission Accredited. Alta Mira is a private pay facility, however they do assist clients in getting insurance reimbursements. As a disclaimer, Alta Mira cannot guarantee a reimbursement from its clients insurance provider.

Alta Mira Recovery is set in a historic San Francisco Bay area hotel from 1927. When Atla Mira was renovated, they maintained the ambiance of the historic boutique hotel. Upon entering the facility, clients have access to a beautiful dining room, lounge, offices, and meeting rooms that used to be the main lobby of the hotel. There are beautiful panoramic views of the San Francisco Bay from the patio lounge. The accommodations are semi-private with the option of full privacy. The bedrooms have an en-suite with a jacuzzi tub and stand up shower. Alta Mira offers outings such as kayaking, horseback riding, group walks on the beach, touring the local shops, yoga sessions, and hiking at Golden Gate National Recreation Area. The accommodations are designed to fulfill the client's comfort and needs during their stay.
